Curriculum Vitae

In 1999 I graduated as a geographer at the Utrecht University in the Netherlands. After a period of travel in Latin America, I started to work as a project manager for the Netherlands Institute for Physical Planning and Housing (NIROV) in 2000. During the 4 years that I worked for NIROV, I developed various courses, conferences and excursions on the topics of spatial planning, water management, landscape, cultural heritage and environmental issues.

In 2005 I started working as a senior consultant on rural development and environmental issues at NovioConsult BV in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. I worked on several projects as a project manager, process manager and researcher. I was specialized in spatial developments in the Netherlands, in combination with issues such as water management, climate-change, nature, landscape and stakeholder participation in policymaking.

After we moved to France in 2010 I started working as an independent consultant. As such I have been supporting the Secretariat of the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes (Water Convention) at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva, Switzerland with its water and climate change activities program and overall communication issues.

After returning to the Netherlands in 2012 I continued to support the Water Convention Secretariat until the end of 2013 and I still  work for them from time to time. Since the beginning of 2013 I also work as an associate for Stroming, a Dutch consultancy firm for nature and landscape development. Furthermore I work on other assignments for various clients.

Since 2015 I am an elected member of the Regional Water Board: Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden on behalf of Water Natuurlijk.
